Aste Nagusia photos

final countdown for Cuba...

last 14 days for Cuba. we will leave bilbao to go first to madrid in order to get our flight to havana in 1st of september. I think flight to Cuba will take 10 hours aprox. spending the last days planning the journey, thinking about the places that we will visit. it seems that we will be exhausted when we returned to bilbao. Surely I will be taking photos all the time, but I dont want to be seen there as a tourist by people there. In some way I have to integrate myself to the daily life there rapidly. As soon as I do that I think I could understand the way of living there. we will be staying all the time in Havana but one day may be we will go to Varadero to see the most beatiful beaches in the world. I would like to ask some questions to people living there about their lives. And we will be visiting everyday a pub or bar to see live performances. I hope we will enjoy in my dreamland. take care all.

pyjamas fest in Bilbao...

Hi there. yesterday we were at pyjamas fest in bilbao in algorta quarter. algorta is an attracting point for the people in Bilbao also for the visitors of Bilbao. we arrived there at 21.15 and left the fest at 22.30. why so early? because there was no metro service after 22.30. quite astonishing for the people of Bilbao who visit many fests lately. there will be big fest in bilbao during the next week. some concerts and different activities will take place during whole week. Prodigy, Chambao, Coti, Machacho, Pereza are some names who will perform during this one week fest. We will attend all the main concerts where I suppose many young people will come also to drink and to have fun. During my observations here in Bilbao I realized that Vascos drink more than Germans who claim that they are the champion of drinking. I dont know too much about other parts of Spain but here people drink without any limit. well some clashes are inevitable during the fests between police forces and young people. there in istanbul we drink to enjoy the meeting of friends or celebrating the event which could be birthday or farewell for a friend. here youngs drink only to get drunk in a very short time span. and whole pleasure of drink in a pleasent manner among fellows disappears. as my best friend asks always where is the solution? was/wo ist die losung?

just check this link and see the reality in Lebanon...

George Galloway, MP (born 16 August 1954) is a British politician noted for his socialist views and rhetorical style. He is currently the Respect Party Member of Parliament (MP) for Bethnal Green and Bow, and was previously elected as a Labour Party MP for Glasgow Hillhead and Glasgow Kelvin.
Galloway is perhaps best known for his vigorous campaign to overturn economic sanctions against Iraq, and for his visits to Saddam Hussein in 1994 and 2002. In October 2003, he was expelled from the Labour Party when a party body ruled that he had brought the party into disrepute over the 2003 invasion of Iraq, when he called the Labour government "Tony Blair's lie machine" [1], and stated that British soldiers should "refuse to obey illegal orders." [2]
In January 2004, he teamed up with the Socialist Workers Party, leading members of anti-war movements such as Salma Yaqoob, and other figures on the British left such as film-maker Ken Loach and journalist George Monbiot (who later left), to form RESPECT The Unity Coalition (Respect), a new political party to the left of Labour.
He won his seat in the 2005 general election, standing for his new party. In January 2006 he sparked controversy for taking part in the television series Celebrity Big Brother.

about the prices...

as I have written in my previous message as early as you get the tickets then you have the possibility to find the cheapes prices. It is valid for all airlines, in addition some airlines have happy hours like hlx and germanwings. hlx offers low prices starting from tuesday at 18.00 till thursyday. and germanwings often offers at weekends lower prices. for example today you can find for october very low prices in any airlines' website. I would recommend from koln to bilbao do it with hlx and from istanbul to koln with germanwings and corendon (dusseldorf then you get the train for 5 euro to go to koln). but also ryanairs is offering now very low prices starting from 0.001 euro (which I bought for 23rd of october from frnakfurt to santander for 20 euro including taxes and surcharges). I could answer any travel planning question...just e mail seckinozan@hotmail.com

cheapest ways to travel between istanbul and bilbao

well we will talk about the cheapest ways to travel between istanbul and bilbao. since I am always a price sensitive person also in this case I am searching the cheapest way to fulfill one of my endless or infinite needs as capitalism says. actually whole process depends on purchase of the tickets as early as possible. lets start, first option from turkey to germany with germanwings, corendon and from germany to bilbao...hlx has direct flights from koln and stutgart to bilbao and from frankfurt hahn airport you can fly with ryanair to santander which is located one hour away from bilbao then you can take the bus from santander which costs 6.50 euro one way. and another option is with easyjet. from sabiha gokcen to luton airport than change the airport with a bus to stansted airport. there you have the direct flight to Bilbao. by the way from cologne to frankfurt hahn airport and vice versa there is a bus service that costs 15.00 euro one way. i will update this entry when i find sth new regarding this weird route. buenas noches gute nacht good nights iyi geceler wow i can say it in 4 languages....

why istanbul-bilbao?

why? because living between istanbul and bilbao means a weird way of life, I am wondering when will I belong to somewhere and when I will be able to say "yes thats my place I will continue to live here" or sometimes I am thinking if I have to say sth like that. I mean one must feel himself or herself belong to somewhere? or he or she must live how the life comes on, I mean as the capitalism shakes the balances of individuals regarding job, accomodation etc. individuals could not make any future plans for the long term. Up to know this notion has affected also my life, so as a victim of recent turbulance of individuals' safe heavens also I am trying to find my shelter in this barbarism. well at least last year I have gained one more family to make easier this eternal search. and around me now I have more people who gives me this supporting feeling which gives me more strength against difficult times, as nazim hikmet wrote long long years ago "Living, living is a beatiful thing my brother!"

dont know what to write

does it happen to you too? having many things in your mind but no possibility to write and express your feelings. it is similar to the situation when you are in love with somebody. you have many words to say to your love but it doesnt come easily. then you start to plan every word that you are going to say or sometimes you write on a paper and take it to the meeting point. well whan can I write? sth about my mother who is living her last days in this world, after such a heavy treatment for her cancer disease seems she is losing this shit battle. I think she could have written a book telling her life full of with pain always. and now a time in which she has started to live more happier times than before spending her days with taking many pills which are converting her life to unbearable period. these pills are extending her life a bit. in my next blogs i will drop on some lines about her life. what did cause this shitty disease? well many things came together which made her always stressful and exhausting. now when I remember all things that we went through with her some tears are starting to leave my eyes. since 2001 we could have treated or cared her better but could not. all have his or her guilt and responsibility. what should one do in her or his last days? following the directions of the doctors and taking pills and suffer or just living with enjoying life as much as possible? is it your choice or the one determined by others around you who dont want to lose you? dont know what to do what to think how to act...

a trip to Cuba...

on 1st of september we are leaving Bilbao for spending a week in Cuba. that was my dream for whole my life, I had not expected my dream comes into reality in such an earlier part of my life. actually I had expected it after long long years working and saving some money to afford all costs. but thanks to destiny one day I met a girl called Lara and did not miss the opportunity and married with her. now one can say this will be a postponed honeymoon for us. well may be lara wishes to go somewhere to spend some romantic times but I prefer to do it where I can share whole this beatiful moments with the woman of my life in my dream country, what does need someone in his/her life? your love and your favourite place in this world, personally I would neves ask for more in my life. Sure all will be with some worry about my mother, but I will try to enjoy it as much as possible. At least in the near future I will not have this possibility again...go ozan go...without knowing and thinking about the near future...

another 40 dead...

listening to radio all day makes you quite sad with the news coming on. another bloody day for the lebanese people. and still they are discussing how to treat israel, and what about arabs? what have they done since the start of all shit? nothing...nothing...nothing...hope everything gets calmer soon. we are just hoping sth but nothing changes. who is guilty? killers, killeds or we who give a silent approval to all the killings and massacres there in lebanon...

a fest in Vitoria-Gasteiz

a long long long sunday day with Vitoria visit. Vitoria is the political capital of Basque Country. as a matter of fact Bilbao is the economical capital of Basque region with its indusrty and service sector. we arrived in vitoria at 14.30, every half an hour there is a bus from bilbao. it costs 5.10 euro and the bus journey lasts 1 hour with magnificient green environment around which is quiet usual in Pais Vasco. summer days are also full of fest around pais vasco. every small settlement has its own fest where people get together and drink surely. that was the second one that i visited so far. what could i say? well people are living as they enjoy, and i guarentee you that you will like pais vasco and later on you will start to tell your friends that pais vasco is the best place to live in this world as the vascos say.

without doing nothing just watching news, isnt it disgusting or disturbing? well what can we do? i have no answer. dont ask me! what must one do in her or his life? just living, getting up, eating and again sleeping? if you have an answer let me know later i will prove that it is not the answer...

nerd test results...

I am nerdier than 64% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out! 36% scored higher (more nerdy), and 64% scored lower (less nerdy). what does this mean? your nerdiness is: low ranking nerd. definitely a nerd but low on the totem pole of nerds.

exciting first toy...

when you discover sth or your family buy a new toy you never leave it for hours, you keep on play with it till you go to bed. but story doesnt end in the bed neither. give a hug to your new toy, think about tomorrow, say thanks to god (?)...after long hours thinking about your new toy sleep well with one of your legs out of the quilt...
